Now wait. If Beef was dead (which we still don't know for sure), and then he went to heaven and was murdered, does that make him undead?
Also, I know that there's been talk of Beef's life count going down, but remember, he never actually died in any of those previous episodes. I mean, yeah, he was hanging on by a thread, but there's no real evidence that he died. He was just having near-death experiences.
Please feel free to refute these claims.
Italics are rad.
i sort of count beef's lives in the same way everyone seems to count cat's lives: "oh dear, tiddles nearly got run over by a bus again yesterday, that's another life down". i dunno, it doesn't really make sense.
i still sort of count a time when he's been in heaven (or hell) as a time when he's died: then again, if it's only them then he's down to, what, 5? which isn't too bad.
Hmm. Ladies and gentlemen, this calls for a bulleted list of facts as we know them!
[*]Blister is stone-cold, totally, completely dead
.[*]Blister has a halo and is ghostly white, maybe even translucent and has a reverb voice
[*]Blister can return to earth apparently at will in ghost-form
[*]Blister has met God
[*]Molly, Beef, and the 2 new guys remain unchanged except for the robe
[*]Each time Beef went to Heaven his shell was still in a hospital, apparently clinging to life
[*]Cats have 9 lives
[/list]
This makes me think animals with "lives" can move back and forth from the afterlife to the mortal plane quite easily, but don't attain completely deadness (halo, etc) until all lives are used up.
It is unclear if this experiences use up said lives but given that the expression "cats have 9 lives" is generally taken to mean amazing near-misses I would say that Beef has indeed shed one (1) life per trip to heaven.
This doesn't explain Todd's return from Hell, but it seems to have a completely different set of laws. Thus it's unclear if Beef's trip there deducted a life or not.
