Current toddler status, 11/19: She got hugged by some anonymous boy-toddler at the park. Even at this age, dads instinctively start to find fault with the little fellow.

We scored a plastic play-house thing the size of a cubicle. It will sit in the yard and get worse until we have to feel terrible about throwing it in a landfill.

At her direction, the little advent cupboard is now full of Weebles, Weeble furniture, and large pieces of cereal.

She is trying her hardest to concoct sentences, but most of the time the undertaking strains and rattles so hard that it collapses into a heap of nouns and bruised infinitives.

my cousin is learning animal names and noises.

he makes such astute social commentary as refusing to call a Chihuahua-in-arms a "puppy;" it is obviously a kitty. he meows at them.
he also follows around their cat, and yells at her if she climbs on the pieces of furniture she is not supposed to go on.

goddamn, kids are so cute (especially when you only get the highlights reel.)

I've always dreaded sitting on Santa's lap. Why must we subject her to it? He's doing nothing more than collecting market data for his host mall, anyways. Bah.
