@achewood Chris waited all day for the Comcast repair guy, and he never showed up. What is he supposed to do with this cream pie?

I leave for 1 week and all hell breaks loose.  There were about a blue million post this week (several with questions directed specifically to me) and I'm overwhelmed.  I think I've read them all and am anxious to get back into the fray.  However, I gotta do Christmas first which reminds me, thanks Alohadawg.  I don't know when it arrived, but I received my package of Hawaii goodies on Friday evening when I got home.  The idiot postman put it in the grass so the box got wet, but the contents were all sealed very nicely.  Thank you Alohadawg, you are a Prince among men.  Also, I'm seriously thinking of retiring the "~Paul" sig from my post.  As one of the elder statesmen of the board I remember when people wrote letters on paper and we used to sign our names to our letters back in those olden days.  It seems extremely redundant now, but I've kept doing it out of habit.  Should I keep it going or let it die?

What the Hell, I can't find the poll option, did we lose that feature?

Do what you feel, man. You're one of the guys here who has truly earned the right to put whatever you will in your sig (and the good Lord will provide).

Welcome back, Paul.

I've always liked your signing your posts.  I see no reason to stop just because you think it's old-fashioned.  I never thought it was.

Even if it is old fashioned, what's wrong with that?  Sometimes old fashioned is better.

For instance, vintage Kirstie Alley from the '80s, or today's version?

Some people think curly mustaches are old-fashioned too.

I say keep the sig, your mustache and the union suit with the backflap.

Oh Noes!  Working Christmas morning?   Yikes.  Hope you don't have to work too hard.  You should be able to look at racoon pictures shortly!

Boo hoo and my husband has gone away to visit his family in Massachusetts without me for five whole days.

No, don't feel sorry for me.  All I wanted for Christmas was this job.  Yeah, I should have made the wish more specific like 'this job permanently not temporarily,' but still I am counting my blessings.  And I get to leave early and they brought us cookies.  Dr Pepper to all and to all a good night!

I gave Wombat a tiny Dr. Pepper because she likes me just the way I am.  Merry Christmas everyone.

May the job work out, wombat, and Merry Christmas to you. Here's your Pepper.

(I had a conversation with my parents that went about like that. "Really, Mom, all I want for Christmas is an acceptance letter...")
