"He knows I fugue."
That line was so much bigger than the alt text. Come on.

Also, the illustration of Ray's turned head as he slowly collapses is beautiful.

Why supply a link when three-quarters of TOUAMB's users have their entire Bookmarks folder to browse?

Ooo, that Hobot is getting sassy.

The band teacher was left-handed.  The gunshot wound wasn't self-inflicted.  He was assassinated.

Thanks, Leroy.  Let me guess - Bugs Meany was the trigger man?

Encyclopedia Brown was my mentor at the police academy, but the dude's stumbled upon difficult times, what with Monk and all the clairvoyant detectives working the streets.

That is all.

I remember at a party in high school a guy arguing the merits of the 4-prong spork over the lowly 3-pronger. But I must say that when it comes to beverage comsumption I'm thinking fewer slots would be better.

Nah, there's no stealing.  I told you, there is no Chris Onstad.  It's just a nom de guerre.

It's s-porkalifragilisticexpialdocious.

I can't see Ray being in any condition to win tomorrow but Beef setting him up seems far too harsh, although he could justify it in that the choice was Ray's. More likely he is planning on Ray being out of comission just long enough to set up his win.
The alternative is that Beef has been planning this for years and simply used Ray as his way of getting in and gaining enough credibility to manipulate the fight. Under these circumstances Beef could win (though it seems very un-beef) but I just can't actually picture something going that well for Beef.
Proviso: It all happens off camera and the next strip is Ray waking up at his house, Beef telling him 'Yeah dogg you were totally out such as a baby.'
No one knows the real identity of the man who won the fight, he wasn't BOC, wasn't in any preliminaries and he disappeared right after winning.
Then Beef retires to the poolshed, passing a newly aquired trophy.
