I saw Inland Empire when it was running here.

My comment on the way out was "That sure was... well... that sure was three hours."

I didn't HATE it.   I sure as hell didn't follow it either.  I think the unifying message was "Ohh Seven-Kinky!  Live is never neat.  Life is always bad, and then in the end BEN HARPER."

We just saw The Blues Brothers. I think Jough recommended this because it is in Chicago? Anyway, The Wombat All-Purpose Review will do for this:  It was pretty good but it was too long.

It was very good on the pleasures of urban decay, aside from what was supposed to be entertaining about it.  I'll bet it was more fun to see it back when it came out and they were famous and, well, not dead, and all.  But still, not bad.

Aw man, part of what I LIKE about Blues Brothers is that it's one of those rare "epic scale" comedies.

Blues brothers was one of those movies that for years I didn't quite know how it began because I'd always catch it when it was halfway through so it was always a pretty good length for me.
