All those sweet moves of his will do him well as he tries to avoid becoming someone's bitch.

He hasn't even really started his sentence yet and they're already talking about what team he'll end up with when he gets out. I'd like to think his NFL career is over, but I'm jaded enough to know that's not the case.

His NFL career is over, but that's hardly the case for his football career in general. The dude has never been a good passer. Add to that 3 years worth of age and rust (I think he gets suspended a year after release) and a whole lot of media hoopla, and the dude will be a leper.

...but his brief career in the Arena League or the CFL after he gets out will be hilarious.

We have to look at the bright side of things like these.

My team took the six-seed despite being, like, eighth in points.

I can look at my season and see two almost-wins and yet have twice as many almost-loses.

I somehow backed into contention at the end.

Ladies and gentlemen, I AM the Buffalo Bills.

See, I dunno. Ricky Williams has been seriously pissing off the League for years, basically telling them "I'd really rather smoke weed than be in your club," but when the time came there was a team that wanted him.

If they could get away with it, the Dolphins would hire him to be their quarterback NOW. Get him a work-release thing and drag him out 7am-7pm.

The only reason he was there was to work with Vick, so why stay?

He was there to coach a team, not just one player.

But even if that was the case, he's a crap dude because he

a) quit with 3 weeks left in the season -- what would it have hurt to wait?

b) flat out lied to the owner.  Even if it isn't an uncommon thing for coaches to do, it's still crappy.

Also, he did the exact same thing to Louisville a year ago, so maybe we're a little sensitive to it around here.

So, Miguel Tejada. Is it possible for two teams to lose in a trade? Because I'm pretty sure that's what happened here. The Astros, who suck, just acquired a declining 31 year old shortstop who used to be great, but just plain isn't any more. In return, the Orioles dumped some some salary, but only acquired mediocre-at-best prospects. Nice.

Houston and Baltimore: two examples of how not to run a baseball team.

And now the Giants have handed out a 5 year, 60 million dollar contract to Aaron Rowand. A guy who's had 2 good seasons at the plate despite playing all his home games in a bandbox his entire career. At least he's pretty good in center, but... at 35 when that contract expires and he's broken every bone in his body from smashing into walls? I dunno...

(And yes... I am LFM today...)

Pretty much, the most ridiculous off-season ever.

Everyone is just pulling idiot move after idiot move.

This off-season, the winners will be the teams who re-signed their youngish players and otherwise did nothing.

Yes - he was heading back to the college game, and if you're looking for a college coaching job, the time to be available is NOW. Three weeks from now might be too late.

Too late to make the deal?  Maybe, although I'm not sure I buy that.

Too late to make the deal public?  Absolutely not.

Hunts move, pure and simple.
