Buy a new monitor because my old one crapped out for 2nd time since I bought it. And of course the warrant expired 2 months ago. But hey, now I have wide screen. Now I just need to find a resolution tha both looks good and doesn't give me a headache. For some reason the native resolution of an LCD always looks 1 step too small to me.

Couldn't you just buy some microwave burritos and a six pack to raise money for Circle K? Couple of gallons of gas?

so. my roommates bought a PS3 for some reason, and are suddenly paranoid that someone will steal our shit. This was not a worry when we just had a big-screen TV, xbox360, wii, and stereo... but the ps3 has pushed them over the line.
Anyway. They want to still be able to leave the door to our hall open, so they are trying to institute this ridiculous thing where we say a Code Word when we come into the room? Like... I guess if the person doesn't say the code word, they go for their guns or whatever? I am basically... not going to say a codeword when I come into my own dang room.

also suddenly there is hell of Stress about figuring out living situations, as one guy really wants to get a non-washU owned one, as they are way cheaper. But then issues arise about people going abroad, being further from campus, and the fact that none of us know what the heck a reasonable rent is, plus the whole utitilies thing that we'd have to deal with... but apparently the school-owned apartments are going to be almost impossible for juniors to get next year because of the way they are changing the system, so our options are go off-campus or live in really overpriced upperclassman dorms.


in other news, this 300 movie is horrible. "look at how awesome these guys are! they dont' let anyone ever show emotion, and never retreat, even when it makes strategic sense!"
