So, school is closed tomorrow, too. Like I need more reasons to procrastinate.

Today, I discovered that using 'Pentagram' as a seed on Pandora will get you some sweet stoner metal stuff, mixed in with a little Motorhead. I've been groovin' to this stuff for a better part of the day.

Well, OK then, today I'm gonna wonder whether I should revive that thread, which was sort of a one time deal, or start a new one in which to complain anew every single time it happens.

In the meantime I am going to try to write a story about a new Lincoln historical site that is about to open, and make it specifically relevant to the Northwest DC zip codes in which it is situated. For this I spent five years in graduate school?  Oh, wait, that's right, I didn't!

man, it snowed quite a bit.

last night I had a fun ol' time where I went to drop off a CD that a friend of mine wanted to borrow, and her cutie-pie roommate said "oh, do you have to go? you can't like... hang out for a while?"
And bizarro-Dan came out. the Dan who is charming and funny and forgets to be awkward. I have good ideas about the future.
also, in the middle, the GM at the radio station called and asked her out on a date. Ha. It's on, Mikey.
oops, the CD wasn't in the case. I guess i'll have to go back this afternoon. maybe someone will want to go sledding on Art Hill. Art Hill is huge, and at the top is the St Louis Art Museum, and at the bottom is a huge fountain. It's gorgeous.

also, last night I read an article about Marvin Minsky, and realized that I really need to take a bunch of neuroscience and programming courses before I graduate. Because some of those AI guys are totally barking up the wrong tree, and I need to set them straight. This is me, half-joking, but going to the library to check out 3 AI books.

yeah, I do love every girl.

she is um, she is super rad and very pretty. it is a recent development that I can talk to her without stumbling over my words horrifically.

also, I am in a band with her which might make things more complex.
But I think maybe it's gonna just be a band where we make out all the time? that is my idea of our band.

That's not as bad as having a girl you desperately want to date (or worse, date again) tell you about her own sexual activity. God damn, I am so glad I'm married and don't have to dick around shit like that anymore.

it occurs to me, though... that this may not have been cluelessness, and that guy might be a dick. the more I think about it... he was just being a douche. I would not put it past him.

"yes. *gives look that says SHUT THE GODDAMN HELL UP DANIEL IS RIGHT HERE*"

at that point I just started talking about how tired I was and walked out the door. ugh.
