When I am at a certain level of agitated/tired/upset, I do really weird things, and I know they are weird but at the time it seems really important to do.
Tonight, I slept for two hours on the linoleum floor in the radio station. Right between the jazz LP's and CD's.
I was so tired that it was really re-energizing.

For some reason sleeping on the couch did not seem right.

...dodge some of the heaviest snowfall my hometown has seen in my lifetime.  It's gonna stick on the ground and everything.  Naturally, everyone will drive like they're on ball bearings.  Fortunately, I'm making steaks and gnocchi tonight; finishing the night with an Old Fashioned and a good book seems like the best medicine against the cold and chaos.

....figure out what to do with myself with no work, band practice/recording/performance, or girlfriend (who's out of town) for a full twenty-four hour period. All of these things seriously have not aligned in probably over three years. Haven't made any plans yet, but I have a feeling that the Wii, masturbation and beer will be prominently featured.

...host a Dirty, Drunken Santa gift exchange at my house, after a last-minute change of venue.

I'm setting up a wet bar in the downstairs bathroom, and my friend is bringing her camera and a backdrop and offering boudoir photos to anyone who wants them. (She's a professional photographer and offers a boudoir package to her bridal clients.) We're also exchanging adult toys in a blind gift exchange, and there will be pink, blue, and green martinis.

It's been a while since we got this group of girls together. It's unlikely that I'll get drunk, but it might happen - I haven't yet made my twice-yearly quota for 2009. So if I stagger back to the board and start drunk-posting tonight, consider yourselves forewarned.
