Even my coworkers who love the Cardinals (ie, all of them) are not excited about working during the game and serving endless lines of drunk Cardinals fans. I am glad our team is in the World Series, and I will be glad if they win. Good for them.

Today I'm thinking Jough has a good point and it probably is a good time to buy Apple stock. But I've never had stock before and would have no idea when to sell it. And I'm guessing even after the fall it took yesterday it's still crazy expensive.

Determine how much you expect to gain and how much you can stand to lose, and once you have the ceiling and floor set, have the discipline to get out when either is hit. Anything else takes way too much time and knowledge.

Man, that was really disappointing. The store was really low-energy and empty all day. They won, though.

This series coincides with cold weather finally coming out, so everyone today was kind of whiny and buying hot cocoa and chili fixings.

We were talking about PayPal somewhere around here.

So, I buy something off ebay. My email address is attached to ebay and to PayPal. My credit card number is attached to my wife's PayPal. It therefore cannot be attached to my PayPal, even though it is my card and was my card before I started dating my wife. Then when I try to contact PayPal about it, the page locks up as soon as I hit "email us". Fuck PayPal.

I think my son deserves an Emmy for what must have been a very convincing performance this morning, which led to his teacher calling me at 10 AM and asking me to come get him, 'cause he sure as hell isn't acting sick now.

Yup. If he's truly sick, he has no business being out that late in the cold. And if he's not, it's a natural consequence of his choices. Either way, it completely absolves me of the responsibility of figuring out if he's sick or faking, I can't lose (for once).

And, Pedro is taking the girl, so I get to stay home, eat hot dogs, and watch TV instead of looking at pottery with my in-laws while trying to keep my kids from touching/breaking things. Hooray!
