[Choop]

Shut the fuck up, rookies. Age is just a number; maturity is the thing. She and I kind of met in the middle in the first regard in order to understand each other in the second.

Does it like... spanks?

[side_show]

I always struggle with that one:  what is worse at the gym, people stinking their natural stink or people stinking an unnatural stink?  Both are gross, but natural piss/fart/BO/bad breath is far more gut churning for me.  I don't expect people to bath pre-workout, but... some of the smells that come of exerting human bodies are so vile.

If someone says they need someone "tech savvy," what does that mean? Are they going to ask me to program shit, or do they just want me to know what twitter is?

[Doc]

If they're still saying tech savvy they probably just want someone who can work the Internet AND the email.

[doomglobe]

Tech savvy actually means chump. They want someone who will do something they don't understand. Prepare to be condescended to for understanding it, told to hurry up and finish projects because they don't know if you are slacking or not and just want to make sure, and then expect them to take full credit for all the work in front of the client.

Sounds like somebody's got a case of the Mondays.

[side_show]

More like a case of the accurate descriptions.

Today we are having a housewarming party. Pretty exciting. About to spend the day cleaning and buying snacks.

Also today I read an article about crime in St Louis. Apparently the neighborhood where I currently work and the neighborhood where my internship was are the two most dangerous neighborhoods in the city?

Something about that feels wrong. My grocery store is in the middle of fancy loft housing and bougie boutiques. My internship is an impoverished neighborhood with lots of drug stuff going on. How can those have the same number of violent crimes per 1000 residents?

[jay-ell]

What Ash said. Crime tends to happen in "nice" neighborhoods that happen to be adjacent to poor neighborhoods.

Today, I'm gonna get a phone message from a job I applied to in Utica four months ago, asking me to interview next week.

But I'm in L.A. til the 18th, visiting my brother and his gold mine.

And with the time difference and being a Friday, by the time I returned the call, I only got an answering machine.

My luck.

[wombat]

I am pretty sure if they have waited four months they can wait till next week.

Three days before i left for japan i got a call from a job i applied for in february. They would have waited but i managed to squeeze in an interview so i wouldn't have to be thinking about it.

Ps excuse the typing. My choices are a tiny tablet screen and a full keyboard that keeps turning japanese when i hit the wrong key.

[doomglobe]

LA has TEMPEST ACADEMY. I would be on all surfaces of that place at every angle I could muster.

Jobs in Utica can WAIT

Japan is trying to tell you to get off the computer and go enjoy Japan.

[littlefallsmets]

Turning Japanese?

It's really turning Japanese?

You really think so?
