The best thing about this is that this is not particularly weird as dreams go; it's the kind of dream I could entirely see Beef having.

Also, Ray does jump with hella style. Can't blame him for bragging.

I like how reality (Ray's asking him about salmon) integrates itself into the dream, much as if you were watching television and fell asleep in front of it and started dreaming of knives that just FALL through onions and cut tomatoes so thin you can see through them.

DO  YOU WANT SOME FRITTATTA??!!

I love this strip. Someone mentioned last week that one of the funniest things in these strips is the little 'sound effects' like the 'oof' when Ray lands. Those little touches always put it over the top for me, too.

I wonder how often those background strips will run? Not my favorite but would make good fill for those inevitable times when the true funny isn't coming.

My new favourite part of this strip is that Ray says "Hoo-Ah" to Beef à la Pacino in Scent of a Woman.

Beautiful.  There was a time in 1993 when I must've said "Hoo-ahhhhhhh!" about ninety times per day.

The strip reminded me a lot about an old friend who used to always say, "watch me jump over [insert object here; table, vacuum cleaner, ironing board, chair, counter between kitchen and living room; this latter one was the scariest cause he barely made it].".

It would've been hella funny if dream Beef had been his competition ;D

It was a very jordanesque leap.  If only there were more steps to it for an animation.

Dude, he's a programmer.  They don't sleep in beds.

Just ask Jough.  He's probably still up...

But never with the style Pacino managed I'm guessing?

I loved this strip. Another that my mom got in touch with me to say how good it was.

The thing is, if Beef just started floating in midair in "real life" I think Ray would take it pretty much in stride just like the strip. Although he'd probably start looking for some kind of business opportunity with it.

I'm not a programmer, but writers don't sleep in beds either.  Nor do web designers.

And I did actually sleep for two hours this morning.

You may not be a programmer, but you're still a computer...guy...thingie.  It's all related.
