It didn't even occur to me to wonder. I just want it to be over.

Onstad: "Man this seemed like a good idea at first, i mean i hadnt used todd in awhile and cocaine is always a lark.... I need some sort of immediate terminus to this train wreck. Pop."

I have this sneaking suspicion that Onstad conceived of this arc with the sole intention of offing Todd.  Then again, I've thought the same thing about as many of Todd's appearances as not in the past.

In any case, I like how this started as a Todd arc, overstayed its welcome, and seemingly moved on with the "forget about Todd" strip...  then basically just did a one-off and veered straight back to Todd again, even after half the original premise (Ray exploiting his addiction) had just been completely deflated.  It was pretty amusing, in a "meta" kind of way - an anti-GOF, if you will.

I am a big fan of a phrase being so perfect that your head explodes.

It's even better when you consider that the alt-text implies something a bit different.  His life just ended.  The idea didn't overwhelm Todd's brain and make it explode; it was just so perfect, there was no longer any reason for him to stay alive.  Then, instead of just keeling over, his body went into full auto-destruct mode.  Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but the idea of "head exploding messily" as the default way for somebody to die is still pretty damn funny.

Thanks, all, for making me feel like a jerk by leaving it to me to ask the obvious question. And that is:
What the hell is Quimarello?

Don't even pretend like you knew either. 'Quimarello' is currently #95 on Google trends, Oct 17, 2007, above The Colbert Report. You are all terrible, lame faux-intellectual hipsters...

And I am so ashamed.

It's not on Wikipedia so it doesn't exist. Whatever it isn't.

What the hell is Quimarello?

Ask the young peppy people at m.asset.bar or whatever it's called. It seems "quim" is slang for "v a g i n a", and then there's something involving a caramel. It's basically an ill-thought-out portmanteau, it wouldn't even cause my toe to 'splode if you ask me.

I just assumed is was a pu$$y-flavored Caramello. Or maybe a Caramello with pussy-nougat instead of caramel?

Should I be worried that I would probably eat and enjoy that if it was flavored like my SO?

I sincerely hope this doesn't move on to a "Todd goes to hell" storyline.  Head explosion is a great way to end a thing, and I really don't want any more the squirrel.

Not to mention that Todd already seems to be a pretty frequent visitor to the afterlife, whether we're privy to his adventures there or not.  Likely wouldn't be too interesting for him, either.

The lesson here is that Todd is too one-dimensional a character to build any kind of prolonged story around, and too much of a crap dude to be worth developing further.  Great for one-offs every now and again, but that's really where he needs to stay.

As far as I am concerned Todd has been in the best Achewoods ever.  Back when he was driving down stairs and doing coke to dokken and talking to blister about Stoned God and the thong episode.

That is...

ewww.

Also: there is a cheese which smells like that. And I've been told that it tastes like that. a certain friend of mine gets a big kick out of giving some to guys, and saying "remind you of anything?" with a big smirk on his face.

why would people eat that cheese. why. why.

Is it really that weird and/or gross? I really don't know. I just have a great fondness for the taste of cootchie; I love how each one is different and unique. I actually develop a bit of an attachment to a particular bouquet if I am in a relationship with a girl for a significant period of time.

Yeah, ok, that does sound a bit weird.

As long as a lady has good hygene habits, there are few things tastier.

it occurs to me that...

my experience is limited enough that....

I mean, if you had only eaten a certain dish from one restaurant, your opinion of the dish as a whole might be skewed.

but damn, I find it hard to imagine that that might be the case in this case.

I'm not gonna question your sexuality, here, inev... though that is the funniest way to go.

I am gonna say, however, that you're a young dude and the coupla ladies you've gone down on were probably young and inexperienced and... probably not wise and confident enough to know how to keep their coochies properly clean for the purposes of goin' down.

Dude, you tried MacDonalds coffee and justly hated it. But that ain't coffee, son.

Don't knock it 'till you've tried some Starbucks.
