So, yeah, there's this. But there have also been scores of articles published over the past hundred years or so about scientists and inventors and business and cultural leaders who were inspired by science fiction to make the world a better place. The only thing separating them from these guys is gumption.

This only confirms my philosophy that every great benefiial change was preceeded by some dude being pissed off enough to do something constructive.
