@achewood I am composing a tone poem about eagles, lawnmowers, and Ted Nugent. It is composed only of the sounds of those things.

"Millions of Cats" is the title of my personal vision of hell.

Anyone else read Millions of Cats by Wanda Gag?  That was a favorite of mine as a wee lass.

Someone wrote a book about my ex girlfriend?

"Wanda Gag" sounds like the punchline to a joke told by a sixth grade boy

Robert Cormier (The Cheese Stands Alone and The Chocolate War, good thoughtful stuff for junior high kids).

Agreed, Cormier is great, huge props for noting those books.  For the title of the first one you list, I think you mean I am the Cheese (although the title is a reference to the song "Farmer in the Dell" it doesn't draw directly from the lyric).  I once gave a copy of The Chocolate War to a student of mine who was dealing with some serious bullying issues.  As it's one of those commonly banned/challenged books, I asked the director of the place I was working at, and his mother permission first due to all the swearing and mature content.  Since the kid was into watching South Park, I reasoned he would be able to handle it.  The poor dude tried his best to fit in, but by the end of his time at the school I was working for, had isolated himself to the point where I was basically his only "friend."  Sad times.  I hope he's okay out there in the world wherever he is.

What's with all the hate for cats?  They are infinitely better than scummy old dogs.

Cartoon cats brought us together, but secretly we have all hated actual cats.
