@achewood I once had the idea that, if only for a moment each night, everyone in the world was asleep at the same time. It made the world manageable.

Nothing says DO YOUR TAXES like parental neglect. Unless they are REPLICANTS or spy doubles.

Sinister plots?  Imposters?

Hah.  Nothing's more terrifying than the drab, mundane existence Phillippe faces at his mother's house.

A blank pad that just says "Tic Tac Toe" at the top might not be the saddest thing but it might be the most pointless.

despite he remains 5 years old, philippe has matured a lot.  i remember a time when he would throw the most ginormous tantrum because of a simple thing, such as a misshapen pancake, a dissapointing dollar store gift, or being in a yucky mood at dinner time.  either that, or he remembers the behavior expected of him at home and has slid back into that mindframe.

I could completely go for chocolate chip pancakes and bacon right now.  Straight up served on a faded plastic M.A.S.K. plate from Burger King.  Short glass of milk.

Not sure how the lunch room at work would react to that, though.
