It's hot as baals (90d) here

Just wearing my athletic shorts to the Russian book store this fine morning!  This, this right here, is why I moved here.

So how many hundreds of eggs you have to get before you break even?

With the prices on eggs and our usage, ROI kicks in sometime in 2025.

You probably won't be allowed to sell them, but you can give them away to your friends and neighbors.

With that look in his eye, probably best to keep it out of stomping range.  And keep a candy cane in your pocket for the next time you get yourself in stomping range.

So, after 16 months I start seeing a monthly return of $31 on my investment in infrastructure and chattel.

Don't know how the rules are around your parts, but you probably can't sell eggs, but you might be able to barter them. If you have 6 productive hens you're going to have way more eggs than you and your family can eat on your own. You'll need an outlet for those extras. Encourage your neighbor to get a milk cow. Ha ha...

I had to mow my lawn front weed patch for the first time this year.  The anti-watering laws killed off most of the grass.  Well, not watering killed them, but I wasn't going to risk a fine for a patch of non-native, thirsty plants.

The missus found a 4-H summer riding camp for the youngest that sounded great. Cheap, too.

"Do they have the hosss, or are you supposed to bring your own?" I asked.

It's BYOH. Ash, can we borrow one of yours for a week in August?
