Nothing to do with birds in particular, but the guinea pig has taken to loudly demanding fresh vegetables right around bedtime.  She won't stop ..chirping(?)... until the appropriate sacrifice has been made.  Considering she spends as much time as possible in hiding, this seems like a poorly negotiated relationship on my part.

I know you're into the whole joy of growing your own thing, but your birds aren't really that cheap. I usually pay as little as .39 a pound 'round Thanksgiving time. One in the oven for right now, one in the refrigerator for the following week and three fit comfortably in the freezer for throughout the rest of the year. I still have one left from last season.

I've been living with cats in the last two places I've been... damn, cats are awesome. I wish they didn't make me sneeze all day every day.

The current guy is a chubby little moron. He just follows me around all day and sits 1 foot away from me.
