ALSO: Oreo let me open her mouth and check her choppers, handle her feet, flop in the saddle weird/awkward (I did it on purpose) and didn't bat an eye when I stood next to her head talking with Spouse and the owner and casually tested her out by waving a random arm in the air now and then. And she rode around responding to only heel and leg pressure, I didn't even have to neck rein and would give me a walk and a big bobbing thoroughbred trot at the first ask.

GODDAMN that's a fine hoss with one (kinda major) flaw.

Yeah, that's good. C said to me today that when she rode a friend's pony, it had a real smooth trot, and a smooth canter, and did a better job of stopping when she asked, and was generally better mannered.
I managed not to say "That's because Charm is kind of a shit!" but man I was thinking it.

She does, however, eat like a champ, so no problems with that part of the move.

I have yet to meat a hoss that doesn't eat like a champ, but small sample size.

Why do you care about conformation on pigs? Is the bacon less delicious if his toes aren't perfect?

If they are really cute you can salt the bellies with tears which saves a few cents a lb, really adds up if it's a well-fed pig

But why will people pay more for the pretty pig at auction? Like I know there are kinds of livestock that people breed fancy for show. But these are just for eating, yes?

Maybe they throw in extra because they know not all of them usually make it? Really, it's kind of surprising any of them do, via the post office.

That's interesting. I wonder how hard it is to get a hoss to hold still to have its lip tattooed?

So right now it is still zero goats? I feel like we have been talking about goats for months, but you have been all goat talk and no goat action.
