@achewood I am composing a tone poem about eagles, lawnmowers, and Ted Nugent. It is composed only of the sounds of those things.

Not entirely responsive here, but I have a lot of fun tracking my runs with Runkeeper.  If you have a smartphone with GPS you should check it out.

Oh!  I love some good running music!

Some tunes from my Running Playlist for my two mile run this AM:

Dog Days - Florence and the Machine (uses a metaphor of running from hosss that always gets me going)
Feel Good Inc - Gorillaz
Y-Control - Yeah Yeah Yeahs (good one for getting the ire up if that sort of thing motivates up)
Blue Orchid - White Stripes (good driving guitar riff)
Phenomena - Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Take Your Mama - Scissor Sisters (joyful song - reminiscent of old school Elton John tunes)

Yelly, screechy things about the end of the world.

Slayer's always a good choice, too.

I hope what you wanted was a 40 minute RunAshRun mix, because I am uploading it to mediafire right now.

Teaser Trailer: I hate the whole zombie trend but this song is awesome even if the lyrics are stupid.

Rock! Vaguely remind me of Primus.  To be fair, this was recorded well before Zombies became trendy.

Run, Ash, Run!

My only worry is that I don't know how to do the thing where the volume stays consistent between tracks. Hope it is good.

Run, Ash, Run!

After all these years and so many promises you've finally made a mixtape.  You get a better late than never can.

I still think sometimes about the NSFLFM mixtape. I was so into that idea.

Now all you have to do is tell us what the play order should be.

oh, I think I changed the track file names to have the right numbers. But maybe that didn't work. I wasn't sure how to change the track numbers in iTunes without permanently screwing up the original files/albums.

PS, I made it have a password: it is #####*****

anyway, I had it like:
It's Catching Up
No Love Lost
That's how I escaped my certain fate
Bed for the Scraping
1 2 x u
Heavy Days
Neat Neat Neat
Girlfriend
Don't Bother Me
Looking at You
Enemy Destruct
Nervous Breakdown
I don't Care (demo)
Secrets

but really, the thing that kept me from ever posting those other mixes on here was the delay that came when I started messing with track order. So I didn't put a large amount of thought into track order.

I've been listening to Alabama 3 a lot while running lately. Particularly I like to hit this song when I'm about 5 minutes out from finished, just to tell my leg muscles fuck them if they think we're done yet.

That whole album, Hits and exit wounds, is pretty damn good, in case I haven't mentioned it elsewhere. I have to imagine their tribute to Mr Cash would scratch an Ash-shaped itch.

I listened to a couple of chapters of Mark Twain's Following the Equator tonight.

Cool!  I'm gonna try this play list out on my Monday run, which is always the toughest one of the week to get inspired for.  I was actually thinking of starting a running music thread, and I'm glad Ash beat me to it.

Since I got my iPhone, I've been watching Arrested Development while running on the elliptical, but there's something about that show that doesn't work for running.  I can't put my finger on it.  Maybe it's a pacing thing.
