I haven't been in Baltimore for nearly a year. This might be the perfect excuse to head back for a spell.

Will the Gnats be in town?

They will be home on the weekend, but head to New York on Monday the 23rd.

You did all the work finding the apartment, couldn't you pack all your stuff before you leave and those guys could move it?

I know, I am pretty disappointed too. I think I am going to try to visit family in August instead, during the week when my brother is home, my sister hasn't started school yet, my mom hasn't gone back to work yet, etc. Maybe I can pop up and see JL one day or something.

As long as it's not the weekend of Aug 10-11-12. I'll be at the beach with the in-laws those days.

If you come earlier that week, I will be here by myself with the Boy, who has school, while Pedro takes the girl, who will still be on summer break, to the beach*. So I will not be able to go out and paint the town, but if you come in the morning I'll be able to hang out while Danger Boy is in school, and if you come in the evening I can cook you dinner and we can play board games at my house after he goes to bed at 8.

You can bring a chaperone if you're worried I might seduce you. Or, you could come alone and just call me Mrs. Robinson.

Or, you could come the week before or the week after. But whatever you do, please do come visit. It is silly that your folks live so close and we've never gotten together while you've been home.

*I apologize for the number of commas in this sentence.

I've been AWOL lately but I'm sure I can work this somehow. I might be house/cat/grandma sitting for my parents that week but they only live about an hour from DC

I will probably be in NC the week of the 4th of August.

Beginning on the 4th, or ending on the 4th? Pedro will be at the beach from the 5th thru the 12th, and I will be going out there on the 9th or 10th (TBD). If you come before the 5th, I will have my daughter in morning/afternoon but can get away in the evening. After the 5th, I will be free during the morning/early afternoon while my son is in school, but will have to be home by midafternoon to get him off the bus. There is also a speech/occupational therapy schedule to keep, but that's a separate issue.

I can get together either way, but when, where, and for how long will be determined by whether or not I am single-parenting on the particular day you have free. Maybe you should PM me about this when the time gets closer? I...get wrapped around the axle about these things, and try to plan waaaay too far in advance.
