yeah, I never do my work. You guys should know this by now. I'm sure ash would have done that laughing thing and I would have burst into tears and then he would have laughed more.

And no, I don't already know this stuff. I guess I knew it when I was 15, the math at least, but I don't anymore. Sometimes when I do the practice sets I get 30% right. That is not heartening.

I have never known what "obloquy" meant. I have never known what the author of the passage intended when he referenced Charybdis and Scylla in his analysis of the definition of tragedy. This is the dumbest shit I have ever wasted time studying.

Today is my GRE. I feel calm for the moment. This will be fine. The only thing making me worried is conflicting information about what to bring. One place said to bring a watch, another place said you aren't allowed to have a watch. One place said to dress in layers, but my friend said they yelled at her for taking off her sweatshirt during the test.

So basically, I am going to drive somewhere nearby to eat a bagel with cream cheese (what a day to run out of bagels!) and read something nice until it's time to go click on some numbers. Maybe I will go to a store and get a digital watch and a banana.

I am a little confused about the fact that it told me my score. I get my "official" score in 2 weeks. I don't know what that means.

No watches allowed. I was a little bewildered by the testing experience. I felt very relaxed and confident. That... doesn't happen a lot. There were very few questions on the stuff I am bad at. Maybe the practice tests emphasize the stuff that most people need to work on. The reading comp stuff was also a lot more straightforward than the practice tests were.

(I got a perfect score on the verbal section.)

Getting those scores and clicking that YES I would like to send them directly to Berkeley and MIT was like ultimate geek wish fulfillment.
