Strip: You will not like what you see come Tuesday.

Maybe he will make Phillipe die. Maybe Nice Pete will be waiting in the bay to greet Phillipe and he will love him in his open arms and commit the murder act upon him to save him from the inevitable sin of puberty.

i would kind of like to see phillipe die

not because i don't like phillipe but because i think his interpretation of heaven will be hilarious - if it's not still burned down, anyway.

I want phillipe to go to heaven.

so, um, picking as my user name a word which people use in normal conversation is a... choice. not neccesarily a bad one, but...

I turn around and look every time someone says "inevitable" at school. i get excited whenever I see that word used, because i think "hey thats me!"

it is a mess.

it would be great if phillipe's afterlife experience was lovecraftian.. eternal devouring at the callous, uncaring maw of Lord Zuthulu or such.

It would be great if Onstad used a hyperreal graphic style akin to Dali showing Phillipe torn limb from limb, entrails and all, by all manner of terrible, full-color demons. Basically, Hieronymous Bosch's depiction of Hell if Bosch had access to vector drawing suites. A full week of this, each a giant one-panel with a host of demons attacking and mutiliating Phillipe, with the lines of the artwork drawn to the silent, hopeless scream on Phillipe's face.

Then, next week, everything is back to normal and Phillipe asks Lie Bot what the saddest thing is, and Lie Bot gives his answer but Lyle comes in and vomits on him.

That would be a very Onstadlian thing to do.

I just finished downloading these and they're excellent.  I've only started watching the show somewhat recently, but man, I learn something from every single episode.  Good times.

Also, if anyone from Be Square Productions or Food TV is reading this, I'd totally buy every season on DVD if you fuck*ng put them out, assholes.

Their site is not easily navigated, but they have single volume sets in there, too.

Yeah, and not one of them is a full season set.  They're all "theme" DVDs.

I just want every episode, in order, in season sets.  Is that too much to ask?

I don't know -- can you even murder Philippe in a Boschian way? He's an alive stuffed animal. Presumably it'd be, like, being cut open with stuffing spilling out, in which case it might as well be your average five-year-old as Lovecraftian gibbering things.

(Insert obvious jokes about the two being synonymous here)

I think that for the purposes of latter Achewood, phillipe has blood and internal organs and generally can be ripped apart limb from limb, with actual gore. Or perhaps he can be sodomized by a goat or something. Basically, the goal here is to terrify the audience and then end it with a party or a one off joke. Such is the Onstadian way.

Oh my goodness, I'm imagining he gets yiffed.

"Yiff" is one of those words that I've been doing my best to pretend doesn't exist... that is to say, only exists as a joke or a trick. As though it is one long running gag throughout the internet, "pretending" that people are into imagining themselves as werewolves for sexual purposes, "pretending" that people are into rubbing up against Shamrock-Stomach Bear to climax, etc.

It is a happy world I live in, where furrism and plushism are merely the largest-scale Andy Kaufman-style prank ever, thousands of websites all in on this joke, and no one is actually wacking-the-mole or nulling-the-void to the fantasy of boinking a half-duck. It's all a big hoax.

I also believe that no one in England actually says "shite" or "line up in a queue" or actually refers to an elevator as a "lift" or anything like that... and that this is actually a prank being played, by the entire United Kingdom, on clueless American Anglophiles to see if they'll actually use such nonsense words.

They put such terms in songs and television shows only so that they can giggle when idiots from The Colonies use them, thinking that it makes them cool. "Haha," they might say, "this idiot from Long Beach said that he keeps his Oasis CDs in the boot of his car! Score one for us!"

It is fun and healthy to pretend that all things disgusting or lame are actually pranks.

I also used to (half consciously, not actually) believe that manufactured goods in Europe were made not in factories, but by elves.

Believe it or not, these expressions are actually in incredibly common usage in old Blighty. No-one calls lifts anything BUT lifts here, JUST THE WAY IT SHOULD BE.

I pretend that the Church Of England was made up by Monty Python and is just a huge joke.  How awesome would that be?
