@achewood Irish Nachos are a charming take on the original, but I wonder what Uighur Nachos would be like. A mutton leg on a crisped pita?

Yeah, that is pretty much the best gift.

"it would be kind of creepy if I weren't so into him"
-my girlfriend, to her mom, about the thing I made her.

I don't know how to take this, other than being happy that she didn't think it was creepy.

its like that with a lots of things one does for their SO... if the feelings one expresses in certain deeds or sentiments are not reciprocated, its awkward and creepy.

in the process of moving all of my music to my new hard drive, I lost random songs from random albums.
this is horrible. like, I actually feel sick to my stomach with agitation.

my dad is trying to help me in a way that... is only making things more frustrating.
He is acting like maybe I am going to find the files I deleted someplace, hiding from me. They are gone, they are not in the recycle bin.

Ironically in the process I also found all of these albums that I thought I had deleted that were still lurking.
So I don't have albums I want to have, but I have the complete Butthole Surfers discography.

also gone: all of my playlists.
argh.

That's what you get for deleting the funk.

Not really.  I am sorry that you lost your music.

yeah, I probably did delete something that angered the internet-music gods.

"he doesn't want to listen to Caroliner? He's gonna pay."

My dad was expressing his helpful thoughts in a way which frustrated me, because I was misunderstanding him. now I am downloading a disk-recovery utility which might find some things.

today I bought a tie and some dress shirts. I came close to buying a new pair of shoes, but couldn't decide if they were comfortable. High-tops, man, they kind of feel like 3rd grade.

I am listening to albums I bought on vinyl over the last few years on my dad's old turntable, and godDAMN Jeff the Brotherhood are so good.
They are so great and simple, just drums and guitar, and play ROCK MUSIC.

Like, these guys have listened to a lot of Black Sabbath in their lives. Maybe some punk/metal influence in there. I am happy with this. Also the singer/guitarist is a really really nice guy, I talked to him once at a show and he remembered me a few weeks later in New York. I am always impressed by people like that.
Also: by bands who set up in the middle of the crowd, which they did.

I guess what I'm saying is, listen and listen. The second one is more fun and poppy, the first is more rocking.
The first one, I heard once on the radio when I was driving to school after staying up all night before multiple exams in the same day, and it made me so happy.

Quality silver lining there.

I thought it was because you really liked psilocybin.

Sleep in.  Boy decided it was playtime at 2 in the morning.  Finally got him back down around 4am.  I'm sure our schedules are all screwed up now.

spend too much of my day screwing around. Now I get to clean my room and pack for my drive to NYC. Burning lots of CDs to listen to on the way.
