Today, I found the facebook page of the (much older) girl I had a huge crush on in 6th grade. She is a lot less cute, lives in Brooklyn, and is dating a guy with gray hair.

I'll just pop in here to mention that I had three cheeseburgers today with three different kinds of cheese: Wisconsin cheddar, muenster, and smoked gouda.

No, not an architect - urban planning or something like that. Architects mostly end up doing depressing stuff that just makes cities worse even when they didn't mean to.

Of course that's my usual sort of thinking - why not do something where you will end up making a whole lot less money.

Also, I am starting to go grey enough that I am thinking of coloring my hair. Which is scarier, doing it at home or paying a zillion dollars to have my expensive hairdresser do it?

According to the one guy I know who is an architect, the job market for architects is pretty bad right now (I know, big news, right). He is working, but not as an architect, and not very much.

yeah, also, you need an undergraduate degree in architecture. All of my friends who graduated with that degree are doing things like waiting tables, or volunteering at the STL Landmarks Association (basically the Preservation Society).

I am considering urban planning or something like that. I need to take the GRE.

My dad, after a solid year of me talking about this stuff, commented that he knows the guy who is the head of the Federal Housing Something Something. So I guess that is worth looking into.

I am mad because I got really excited about these paid Department of Housing and Urban Development internships, and then I realized you have to be a currently enrolled student to do them. Boo.
