I don't know how people use the internet in general without Adblock. When I use other people's computers there is all this shit dancing  and flying around, it's enough to give you a migraine. I don't know how they put up with it.

As for the Facebook thing, if "top stories" is only ever three posts like it was when I just looked, I will probably learn to ignore it, but I noticed another change - I've got an update saying that A commented on B's status, and it also contains the text of B's status. B being a person I blocked from my feed because of annoyingness. This is more intrusive than deciding which stories are at the top.

You know if it amuses you, you can read the Help answers about the changes, and at the end they ask "was this helpful" and if you click "no" they give you a list of options for why and one is "I don't like the answer." I clicked on a bunch of those and while I don't think they give a fuck, it was fun.

I was drinking gin with a mime on one of those party buses that is basically a bus tricked out for a prom. There was a petting zoo. A dude got the comedian Eugene Mirman tattooed on his arm.

A comic who was apparently a small character in the last second of The Wire tried jumping off the stage to beat a heckler, screaming "I will fuck you, I will FUCK YOU!"

It was beauty and madness.

Actually, while I'm letting go of the idea that I'm capable of stand-up, I'm getting a lot better at delivering poetry live at openmics.

It's one of the few things that has kinda carried me through the mess my life has been lately.

Yea... my employer is an unwitting tour backer!   When I visit cities, I find a club and a time and try to throw down.   A few weeks ago I was in San Diego.

Totally!  I mean, the clubs don't pay me, but I get a per diem, a rental car, airfare and a decent hotel!

I have upcoming dates in Reno, NV and Spokane, WA.   I don't know when or where they are... but... they're coming, right?

I fuck*ng love Reno. I've yet to meet a person who enjoys visiting Reno as much as I do. Granted, one of my favorite people lives there, but even if I only get to see her briefly, I love visiting that town.

I recently got a new job with new responsibilities at my company. One of those is training new people in my department. This week is the first week I've done it and I've been training several people here locally. I hate public speaking generally, and I'm not really that good at it. One of my professors told me to look into beta blockers as feedback for a presentation in college. I've also never had to do any kind of actual training, at least not like a full week program like this. Today wasn't that bad, but man, it has kinda sucked.

Good part is, if all goes as planned, I'm flying out to Cincinnati on Sunday to train out there. The training will suck, but I love to travel, and I won't spend a dime on transportation, meals or lodging. I've never traveled for work before and I'm pretty fuck*ng excited. Need to find a job where I travel more.
