Today I'm gonna start over at Harry Potter 1.

For some reason that strikes me as some kind of Youth Wizard Threat Level.

Thanks for putting my evenings plan together for me youse guys.

I told Spouse and The Boy to go back to the fair together and I'd hang out with Asherbaby after work. He's already started the baby-babble and has DaDa MaMa Uh-Oh and Elmo down pat. Tonight I will try to teach him a new semi-naughty thing while we have our time. I'm shooting for the phrase "Go pee up a rope" but that may be too aggressive for one evening. I'll settle for "Oh-Poop" if it doesn't fly.

May I suggest instead "eat poop"? Much, much funnier to listen to.

Even if it comes out "E poop" you're money ahead.

That's what I'm afraid of. The millionth second time that the kid flushes my favorite earrings down the toilet...I might not be able to hold back a screamed litany of cusses.

Eat Poop. ah, the memories.

Or rather, the second-hand memories?

My friends once played truth or dare, at a point when I was not around (I wouldn't have played anyway), and somehow developed the following concept:
if "dare"-- "Eat Poop."
if "truth"-- "Whose poop would you eat?"

It's... it's funny if you hear them tell the story. But now... I make jokes about it, but it's bad because I wasn't there. I am living vicariously through them.

the other best thing like that is from the same group of people. They decided they needed a semi-mean way to make fun of this one girl... and so on a day when she was not there, they decided that she was a cookie monster. now, every time she eats a  cookie, they all say "wow, she's at it again!" and "wow hannah, how many is that today?" etc. One of them gave her a cookie monster doll for graduation. At this point, she has stopped eating cookies in public.

Basically that is my favorite way to make fun of someone ever. I am not sure why.

My brother still gets told about how when he was a baby in a stroller and a lovely old lady came to have a look at him he stared her right in the eye and said ' Bum!'.
I think this is a good word as far as not being too offensive but having a decent amount of shock value coming from a small child.

Tangentially connected dept: They periodically serve Hobo Stew here at work. We got into a big discussion last week about whether or not it would be ok to serve Homeless Guy Stew, Bum Soup, Crackhead Chowder, Street Person Bisque, or Bag Lady Consommé.

What the fuck are they thinking in the canteen? Damn. Then again, my dad makes soup with the leftover Thanksgiving turkey that we call "scum soup", and we still eat that despite the unfortunate name.

Hobo Soup is a real soup.

In case there was a misunderstanding, I actually knew that. I was just parallelling Chris Rock's concern about the Washington Redskins: "What about the New York Niggers? Would that be ok?"

Hobo Soup is a real soup.

Only if if contains 10% real hobos.

Today I'm gonna reflect on my career over the past few years and cry.

Surprise of surprises, it has been a year with the Post Office, which is a year too long at this point. And five years in Hawaii, which has been about two years too long too.

I applied for a Federal job in Ohio with HHS office of Medicare Appeals. There are many advantages.

It pays more than I make here even with the 25% federal tax-free cost of living added to my check.

Milk on sale here is now $5 per gallon and my girls drink about a gallon a day.

If I get the new job, the likelihood of spending (as I just did) two weeks working 14 hour days 6 days straight won't exist.

My parents are getting pretty old, my grandma's almost 100 and my wife's mom is almost as old as mine, and they are all in Ohio

We could buy a nice house with a yard. Here a shitty house with a tiny yard is $500,000. The MEDIAN housing price on Oahu is over $650,000. People spend $1,000,000 for a tear down in parts of the town where I live.

I could actually get NEWS and watch SPORTS in real time or even go to Sporting events.

The taxation, governance, police, economy, everything would be LOGICAL and not built to FAIL

And, I would no longer be a Postal Supervisor which is huge. This organization is interesting and the mission is great and I've learned a lot, but the pressure from above to to more with less and the issues I've run into with the whole labor/management have just pointed out to me that I don't really want to fit into it.

Thanks for listening!
