I'm pretty sure that the last guy who didn't really act overtly christian in office was probably Nixon? Aside from the Watergate thing, there are a lot of things that he did that people now respect.

I've never loved the idea of hanging out with people whose only association is that they identify as 'skeptics'. I imagine there'd be a lot of holier than thou condescension as they discuss how misguided crystal healers or whatever are. Don't get me wrong, cranks annoy me, but I've got more interesting things to do than talk about it. I hope I 'm totally wrong and it's really just a bunch of people hanging out and having a slightly higher brow of discussion than most pubs.
