Again with the too-on-the-nose:

I was going through OkCupid pages and found a girl who looked kind of cute. A little too much makeup maybe. Swipe to the next picture, geez are those fake boobs? Swipe to the next picture, what, a fake nose? What's going on here? Zoom in and her face is just a pasted together collage of fake body parts, like clippings from a magazine, and I wake up with my heart pounding in my ears.

Time to throw my smartphone in the trash, I guess.

I had a dream my friend from college said we could bone, but only if we did it in this dressing room at a clothing store we were in. There was a long line of people waiting to use it, who were sighing with exasperation when they saw us go in together. After a minute or so I said that I just felt too weird that everyone had seen us go in, and guilty that they were waiting, and couldn't we just finish somewhere else. She was pissed off and left.

Maybe you won't be having dreams like that for awhile now that you've gotten your bone on in real life.

Who the heck was that dream about? With the dressing room? I don't remember at ALL.

Last night: I was in class with two guys who bullied me (mildly) in high school. My boss was the professor, and she tore them apart.

First: I was at a record store and found a box of amazing used records. On the front of the box it said "Property of David Bowie."
I think this was because in real life the other day I saw a man who looked just like David Bowie. He gave me a look that said "don't say it."

Second: I was accepted to the urban planning grad program at Harvard with a full scholarship. I decided to give up all of my ideals about urban planning and become a rich hipster urban designer. "Why not sell out and have fun?"

I had a humdinger of a dream last night, but it had nothing to do with any of you all.

...that I was in a gym full of people celebrating Asherdan's birthday. When we sang Happy Birthday and got to the part where you sing the name, people were looking at each other and asking "is his name actually Asherdan? Is it just Dan?" and then collectively shrugged and finished the song.

I also dreamt that I took a trip to NYC with my wife, parents and siblings, and I got separated from them several miles outside of the city and tried to follow the train tracks back to a station but ended up at like a country club and got harassed outside of the country club by some...townies? I don't think that's the right word. Then I said fuck it, I'm taking an Uber and was expecting some crazy high charge (apparently I didn't get a pre-ride estimate) but it was only $18 because I shared the ride.

Then in NYC, still apparently separated from my family or maybe they went home, I took some acid and went to either a music or film festival at an enormous bookstore and people could tell I was tripping hard but I didn't care.

Then, still tripping balls, I realized I was near the High Line so I walked up the stairs and it was really beautiful even though I was slightly scared I would walk off the edge.

...that I was getting checked in to a psychiatric/geriatric hospital. I remember looking at my room, and the patient who was leaving the room was still in the process of checking out, and I was annoyed because the bed sheets and comforter were this really ugly maroon color. But i was so relieved. And I woke up super anxious because the last place I want to be right now is a hospital.

Hope everyone is doing well.

This is the dream I create a facebook chat group to share with y'all, but I wanted to put it on here as well for archival purposes.  Because why not?

Hey former Touamb'ers.  I had to share this story with somebody and y'all seemed like the only reasonable choice.  So here goes.
A couple months ago, I quit getting split on green.  Ever since then, I have been having very vivid dreams.  I understand this is a regular occurence.  It's been pretty fascinating.  About two weeks ago, I decided to start keeping a dream journal.  First thing every morning I write down what I remember about the previous night's dreams.  This has also been pretty interesting.
So, last night I had a dream.
I dreamed I was in Northern California, the bay area.  Somehow I ended up at a house show where some very cool musicians were playing -- Dean Ween and former members of the Dead.  It was really cool, so I decided to come back the next night when they were supposed to be doing it again.
And I did, but I got there just as they were finishing up and breaking down.  A little disappointing, but OK.  After everyone else had left, it was only me and this wook.  He said he knew where the show was continuing and if I would drive we could go there.  I was a little dubious, but OK.
We get in my car and start driving.  I ask him where we are now.  He says Milpitas, CA.  Fair enough.  I ask him where we're going and he has to think about it, so I stop the car and wait.  Finally he tells me an address.  I start to try to look up the address and have trouble with Google Maps and at that point I wake up.  But I remember the address.
The address is 5 Churchill Ave.
Since I'm awake now, I pick up my phone and google Milpitas, which exists.  On the off chance that 5 Churchill Ave is a real location in the area too, I google it as well.
It is a real place.  It's in Palo Alto, which as we know is the alternate universe location of Achewood.  Turns out, based on the January 3, 2005 map of Achewood, 5 Churchill Avenue is about 4 blocks from the house where Chris, T-Adore, Lyle, Phillippe and Mr. Bear live.
Weird stuff.  I've never been to the bay area in my life and to the best of my knowledge the strip never mentioned any addresses.
True story.
