Great news! Car Seat Headrest on KEXP

That was pretty dang awesome. Although, I almost didn't make it through the long lead in. The singer's voice sounds a bit like Stephen Malkmus. I wonder if that's by design?

Saw a pretty good show last night. The first band covered "Don't Cry No Tears" and "Teenage Kicks," which was great. Then there was an annoying woman-wailing-over-electronic-beats thing, then a stupid New Order ripoff, and then a really good band that was kind of doing a Devo/Gang of Four ish thing with lots of interlocking bass and guitar parts at herky jerky rhythms. And finally, my friend's band, who are really technically talented but have no energy.

I am looking for a video of the band I liked, but they have an ungoogleable name.

Better: to get to this show I decided to experiment with the bus. I discovered there is an ultra express bus that stops a block from my house and goes to Williamsburg with only a few stops in between. This is now the Inev Goes to Shows Express.

Heh.  Just started watching this show.  It's like if Lyle Gabriel had six kids.

I was listening to that in my room and like four seconds in my roommate yelled that's mouth moods from his room.  Sometimes I remember I have good people around me!

I was looking through recent posts in this thread looking for a video (turns out I didn't post it here) and I saw that I never told the resolution of my guitar troubles. In Philadelphia my roommate said "dude, your guitar was really out of tune." He handed it to me and it sounded great and had stopped rattling. I am very, very confused by this. But now it sounds great.

I swear I know how to tune a guitar... I've been playing guitar since 2003 or something. I have a tuner and also know how to tune the strings relative to each other by ear. How could it have been out of tune for multiple years?!

Alternative storyline which I now realize has to be the truth: he got stoned and played it without asking and used an allen wrench to fix it, but didn't want to cop to doing that the next day.

Sounds like he adjusted the truss road so that it would intonate correctly, but was afraid you'd be pissed off because he was fuck*ng with your guitar.
