today, I went to the biology library and freaked out and checked out 7 books on Primate Cognition, similarities between human and ape behavior, evidence of consciousness in chimps, and then one that is like "chimps are really smart animals. but they are animals. they are not little furry people." Um, now I am realizing that some of these are way beyond what I can understand. So... yeah.

By tomorrow I will have a write-up of what I am writing a 20 page paper on about this topic. Fun.

also tomorrow, I am meeting a girl for Hot Chocolate. it was her idea to get hot chocolate, and I feel that that is adorable. also, I think it is a good sign that she suggested something for us to do. um, she might have to go to this event her roommate planned instead, though... in which case I will try to tag along for that. which is not as good, but, still nice.
due to this I will miss seeing these guys give a speech at the St Louis film festival.

I dunno man. This art thing is going to probably blow. She is going to be dressed up as Edward Scissorhands and chopping up paintings? I am not really sure what my function at this event is, as I am unlikely to spend over 20 dollars on anything, and I do not think that is enough money to afford a painting.
Also relevant: she does not know that I know that this thing is an issue, I know about the issue because I talk to her roommate all the time on IM. I am avoiding "hey, um, your roommate who I talk to all the time said you probably couldn't go tomorrow?"

we had a discussion at one point about how neither of us really likes coffee (my parents drank tea so that is what I am used to, I don't know what her excuse is) so we are literally getting hot cocoa.

Also, maybe she hasn't mentioned it because she's trying to weasel out of going because she'd prefer to hang with you? Crazy as that may seem.

Aw, that is some good clean fun.  Coco.  Maybe this will lead to handholding.  It has been a long time since I had that start of a relationship time -granted it is also great when it moves into the hardcore fuck*ng - but that innocent time before you see each other's junk is so nice.  Right now, she doesn't know about that one hairy mole you have, and you don't know about that weird scar she has...  Good times.  Good times.  Just remember, right now, you're perfect to her.  No pressure.  No pressure.
