Were there sports? I assume that they have a causal link with sexual tension, although I haven't decided yet if it's a positive relationship or not.

I think I have Swine Flu, or the flu or at least something that sucks really bad.

All boys private school. Yeah, there were sports. From a certain point of view it might have been more correct to say I went to an all boys sporting association that occasionally flirted with academia in the off season.
Maybe it was more of a pack mentality thing, everyone knew who was good at what and where they stood more or less and there weren't any girls to screw around and try to impress?

also: there is a family tradition where we mispronounce "Cake" to have a long A. It is one of those "wasn't it cute when daniel was a baby and couldn't pronounce "Cake"" type of jokes.
My sister has realized, and I am not sure how I did not realize, that it sounds like "COCK."
My parents have not noticed this over the last 20 years, and walk around screaming "I WANT COCK! I WANT COCK!"
Fucked up.

like in a new england-y accent?  'cake and ice cream' could then sound like 'cack(or cock) and ass cream'.

it is kind of a new england-style pronunciation, maybe. my parents are both from new england, but it specifically refers to an incident where I kept screaming 'CAAACCCCCKKKKKK' and they didn't know why until my grandmother admitted that she had given me a few bites of cake, despite specific requests that she not do so.

That reminds me of a time when I taught my nephew (a baby) how to say "Roast Beef", referring to the cat. His dad heard him say it, and he has never heard of Achewood, so he was puzzled as to why a baby would want roast beef (the food).

Daaaaamn I been whipped like the family red-headed pig this week.

My theory is that weeks with Monday off actually seem longer but weeks with Friday off seem shorter. I think it has to do with Tuesday feeling like Monday, but then you realize it's not and overcompensate so then Wednesday feels like Thursday and when the real Thursday rolls around then you're sad.

But when you have Friday off it kind of sneaks up on you.

Yesterday I used imaginary internet people as memory tools to help me remember drug classes. Today I see if they stuck. Then wash, rinse and repeat until friday.

I am alive again. Also, a college graduate and have fulfilled my life long ambition of working in banker finánce I wake up every morning before sunrise and breathe life into the economy until long after dinner. All of my friends are back in Virginia, so it is not much a social life sacrifice. At some point in between penislessly constructing gigabyte sized excel models I'll have to buy a car and an apartment. Glad to see you are all still rad people.

My friend and teammate got a job on the consulting side, its something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROlDmux7Tk4

Time change+going to bed early + our place has no AC so the window was open so every damn person who walked by talking woke me up all night  = awake at 6 AM.

The place we are staying is... like a weird future utopian socialist dream building.
Weird rules about what we can and cannot do, all meals provided, there is a bar inside with wonderful drinks, tiny spartan room, uncomfortable futuristic furniture, creepy inspirational posters everywhere, cultural/recreational events staged in awkward spaces (cafeteria becomes a disco on saturdays??)
Also, there are british children everywhere. If they are this loud tomorrow night my Camp Counselor persona will come out.
Or else, I will yell at them in a fake language or with a fake scary accent. What accent is scariest to British schoolchildren?

Evidence against it being a socialist utopia: everything is really goddamn expensive.

So far I have been lost in the airport, wandered around Paris for 5 hours, had a professor buy me beer, had meetings, and slept. I think Paris is my favorite place ever, and not only because every girl here is pretty. I'm sure paying this much for everything will start to wear on me soon... but so far it is all fun.

Got lost and wandered into the Sorbonne, saw the eiffel tower over the horizon, the pantheon, lots of french people everywhere. I need to buy some kind of small bag so that I don't have to have passport/phone/wallet/keys/phrasebook/map/metro-map/change/notebook/pen in my pockets at all times. Obviously the wallet and phone and passport need to stay close to my body, but the notebooks and map and stuff are TOO MUCH.
