TOUAMBie Award "MVP"
« on: December 02, 2009, 02:54:59 am »
This is it, the biggie, the main prize.  The winner of this award is the one that means the most to the board.  The most important poster award.  Without you this board would not be what it is.

To present the award for MVP we have board OG Choop.  Choop, take it away!!!

I... I don't think Choop is here.

So...

Again, I don't have anything prepared...  I'll have to wing it.

It should come as no surprise that the winner of this award is none other than Wombat!

Wombat, it's a dynasty.  You've taken both of the top awards.  Congratulations.

Although I have received checks (mostly insufficiently large) for words that I typed on a computer, as well as Paypal deposits, Amazon gift cards, and an advanced degree, this is the first time I have received an award for any of them.  I am deeply honored to know that the (at last count) 75 days, 5 hours and 35 minutes that I have spent here have contributed something to the sum total of entertainment (or whatever it is that you get out of this) in your lives.

Incidentally, one of the Awesome Powers of an admin is that I could see the poll results all along. Since it is totally wrong that I should get TWO awards, I seriously considered tampering with the ballots. I leave it to you to decide whether the reason that this didn't happen was my innate honesty or my inability to figure out if there was a way to use the admin panel to change the totals.

Also, I would like to note that I was nominated for this award at the last TOUAMBIES but did not win, so I think that the encouraging lesson that we can all take away is that success comes in large part from just persisting in showing up.

Thank you for this award, and I will strive to continue to live up to it.

Honestly I feel very honored to be nominated in this category.  I don't consider myself the MVP of this board and I didn't vote for myself.  But really we are all MVPs on this board.  I'm proud of Wombat, the victory is well deserved and I am happy for her.  Thanks to all of you who voted for me.  Hi Mom!

Wombat, congrats on winning both these awards. I think it's safe to say that you, my dear, are the new Den Mother.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer lady.

I hate this, why would we do this.
BEING A DEN MOTHER IS FOR LIFE.

can't we just make up some different title for wombat.

I meant she's the new den mother in spirit. I'm not giving up my title, no way.

Maybe she ought to be titled "Pug Wrangler?"
