...that I was single and I was going to a water park with a large group of singles, some of whom I did not know well, but the group also included my BFF. For some reason, we had to walk up the side of the highway to get there, and a small group of us got separated and lost. We took the next exit to ask for directions and ended up in an English Village type of mini theme park, where this nice young man helped us figure out where to go.
This was a long process, however, and it was getting pretty late by then, so we hung out and decided not to go on to the water park because we didn't want to walk the rest of the way in the dark. The Nice Young Man ended his shift and hung out with us, showing us the cooler shops and activities in the village, including a book store with ceilings that were only 4" tall where you navigated the stacks by kneeling on a small mat and using handrails to slide along highly waxed floors. If you pulled with any effort at all, you could really fly down the corridors. While we were there I found a huge selection of picture books that I remembered from my childhood that I thought were out of print, but I didn't buy them because I didn't have a backpack to carry them in.
Then the Nice Young Man let us come into the employee breakroom since we had noplace else to go -- he cleared it with his boss first -- and we were sitting around drinking soda and he was flirting with me and stuff, and I was flattered 'cause he was kind of cute, even if he was a bit on the young side. And then he said something about doing a third grade school project and going on the internet, and I was like, "OMG, wait, how old are you?" and he said, "Fifteen," which was a shock to me, because I would have guessed about twenty--three. I mean, dude had razor stubble. No way was he half my age.
Some other stuff happened that I don't remember, and then it was time to say goodbye to the Nice Young Man, and I told him thanks but I'd probably never see him again, and he said, "OK, I understand. I love you. Bye." And I did a double take, and I said, "Did you just say you love me?" And he said, "Yes, I do love you." And I tried to convince him that he couldn't possibly love me, he barely knew me, etc. and then I remembered what it was like to be fifteen, and I thought, oh, what the hell, may as well give him something to remember. So I kissed him (not a chaste, close-mouthed kiss, either). I woke up halfway through the kiss.
I'm choosing to believe that he was joking when he said he was fifteen and I'm not actually a total creeper. It's my dream, I can do that if I want, right?
